Snake Repellent Concentrate

Believe it or not snakes have a very acute sense of smell. As such they are very sensitive to certain odors and will flee from those which they find offensive. Many snake repellents utilize harsh and caustic chemicals like Naptholene but the American Journal of Pest Management has stated that certain concentrated essential oils are very effective at keeping snakes at bay without the need to resort to potentially delatirious chemicals. Further, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildlife Center at Texas A & M University reports that the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services utilize all natural concentrated essential oils to repel snakes in the field. Typically oils with a strong terpene or linalool profile are used. Clove and Cinnamon have proven quite effective but there are many oils that serpents abhor.
