E-309 - Cumin (Cuminum cyminum)
A very pungent and powerful smell. We would say earthy with a very slight acidity. Conjures images of the Mediterranean.
Historical Folklore Application
In a diffuser or aroma lamp Cumin is reported to increase sexual desire in men although the fragrance is somewhat bizarre as an aphrodisiac. Supposed to be a strong pick-me-up when you're tired or feeling the low.
