Cornflower is an ancient practical and ornamental flower that has been found in the funeral wreaths of Egyptian Pharoahs. An age old use for this flower is in a drawing poultice (use one part flower to 2 parts bread, moisten with milk and cover). While we cannot recommend any direct medical usage, WebMd.com states that "e;(p)eople take cornflower tea to treat fever, constipation, water retention, and chest congestion.
