The native people of New Zealand have used Manuka and Manuka honey for as long as they have inhabited the isle. New Zealand folklore cite its extremely anti-microbial properties and is said to effectively treat multiple types of micro-organisms. As an inhalant it is alleged to clear the mind and facilitate breathing. It is said to be analgesic, anti-fungal, antiseptic, disinfectant.
